About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Center. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals seeking recovery from opioid use disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments, evaluating patient progress and making recommendations for continued care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and case management services as needed, ensuring patients receive timely and effective support.
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, facilitating communication and ensuring seamless transitions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services field from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior experience and knowledge in an addiction recovery and/or MAT (medication-assisted treatment) environment.
  • CADC from the State of Delaware.
