Job Title: Registered Nurse ACT

At Apis Services, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing medical expertise to our multidisciplinary teams, promoting the health and wellness of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate healthcare service needs of clients and ensure these needs are addressed.
  • Complete all required medical assessments pursuant to best practices, contractual obligations, and licensure requirements.
  • Ensure client healthcare services adhere to best practices, licensure requirements, and are consistent with policies, procedures, and protocols of contractors and payers of services.
  • Deliver effective wellness and medical services in accordance with policies and procedures; state and federal regulations; and extant professional, ethical, and legal principles.
  • Maintain an effective therapeutic alliance with clients.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients, healthcare providers, family members or legal guardians regarding client healthcare needs.
  • Abide by state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to confidentiality, patients' rights (PM 46), and exposure and infection control.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support to program staff.
  • Encourage staff/clients while demonstrating self-initiative in problem-solving.
  • Assist in the development of data collection and analysis of quality improvement projects.
  • Ensure all client records are maintained according to agency standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engage in professional development. Responsible for keeping current in the field. Complete seminars and/or continuing education programs, as appropriate to update knowledge about addiction and mental health services.
  • Act as liaison with outside agencies.
  • Prepare and submit routine and special reports, inclusive of accurate data, payroll, etc., to supervisor via computer within specified time frames.
  • Participate in the development of quality improvement activities designed to enhance agency and program services.
  • Engage in professional development. Responsible for keeping current in the field by attending formal and agency trainings.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent/ or Associate degree.
  • Delaware Registered Nursing License in good standing or Compact License.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing with at least 3 years minimum continuous driving experience with no serious traffic infractions.
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Excellent ability to work with clients with substance abuse, co-occurring and/or mental health disorders.
  • Excellent writing skills and record-keeping skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of addiction, substance abuse treatment services, and counseling skills and theory.
