Job Overview

Sayres & Associates is a distinguished provider of defense support services, particularly in the shipbuilding domain for the Department of Defense (DoD). We are currently in search of a qualified Mid-Level Program Management Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. This role involves delivering program management, acquisition, and financial assistance to the Navy's Mine Warfare Program Office. A current SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS, is required.

As part of a collaborative team, you will tackle client challenges through critical thinking and analysis, while fostering essential relationships with direct clients and supporting commands.

Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in program and financial management of government initiatives
  • Familiarity with the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting & Execution Process (PPBE)
  • Experience in consulting and providing technical advice
  • Ability to identify issues, conduct thorough research, communicate effectively, and propose solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Outlook)
  • Strong organizational capabilities to assist clients in managing, tracking, and reporting program status
  • Excellent written, editorial, and presentation skills, including the preparation and delivery of executive-level briefings and reports
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DoD Acquisition or Navy Program Management Offices
  • Knowledge of DoD Instruction 5000 series, Adaptive Acquisition Framework, and DoD Financial Management Regulation
  • Experience using Microsoft Project
Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model combining in-office, Navy Yard, and remote work.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, or a scientific discipline, or equivalent experience
Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in an engineering or business management field
Preferred Experience:
  • 8 years of experience in an engineering or business management field
Security Clearance:

Secret Clearance is mandatory.
