About the Role: Are you dedicated to ensuring that software systems align with organizational and operational needs? This position is designed for you. As a Senior Applications Administrator, you will oversee the management of current software systems, facilitate the resolution of performance challenges, and drive ongoing enhancements in processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads a team in the administration of software systems and prioritization of initiatives.
- Ensures that applications fulfill organizational objectives and user expectations.
- Collaborates with various departments to address performance challenges and improve software functionalities.
- Coordinates feasibility assessments and provides guidance on software acquisitions.
- Implements process improvements and conducts application testing.
- Identifies challenges, proposes solutions, and supports software development and modifications.
- Reviews user feedback, manages application updates, and oversees team members.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepares financial estimates and contractual agreements.
- Offers training and support as necessary.
- Completes assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in various programming languages.
- Experienced with databases, operating systems, and web technologies.
- Familiar with open-source development environments.
- Competent in programming, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lead project teams, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
A degree from an accredited institution in information technology or a related discipline, along with six years of experience in applications programming.
Substitution:
Advanced studies or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Promotional Criteria:
- A minimum of one year of service in related positions within the organization.
- Civil service status in the applicable classifications.
