Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine

We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned leader for the role of Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Riley Hospital for Children. This position offers a distinctive opportunity to shape and implement a vision aimed at enhancing pediatric health outcomes. The division is robust, situated within the Emergency Medicine department, which is part of a health system dedicated to excellence across its mission.
Position Overview:
- 50% clinical responsibilities and 50% academic engagement
- This role includes the honor and duty of leading a talented team of 32 pediatric emergency medicine faculty members who serve in the emergency departments.
- Responsible for overseeing the fellowship program and the integrated residency training program.
- Guide both academic and clinical initiatives.
- Involves dual employment with IU Health Physicians and IU School of Medicine.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Must possess Board Certification or be Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or in both Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics (combined or sequential).
- Seeking candidates eligible for appointment at the rank of associate or full professor.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, scholarship, and education.
- Proven leadership capabilities with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
