Job Title: Senior Financial Planner and Investment Advisor

Join our team at First Financial Federal Credit Union of Maryland as a Senior Financial Planner and Investment Advisor. This role is a key position in our Financial Dimensions department, responsible for providing customized financial planning and investment advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans tailored to individual client needs and goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings and presentations to clients, providing guidance on investment strategies and financial planning.
  • Perform investment selection, trading, and financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior tax advisors to develop tax-efficient strategies for clients.
  • Assist with RIA compliance and regulatory requirements, maintaining awareness of industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • At least 4-8 years of experience in financial planning and investment advising.
  • Demonstrated record of client and AUM growth, with a strong sales approach.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax strategies and financial planning tools.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment, mentoring early-career team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a quantitative field.
  • IAR (Series 65) certification required; CPA, EA, CFP, and/or on-track to complete highly desirable.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $150,000 yearly salary, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.

Work Environment:

Full-time position, with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule after a probationary period. In-office position with occasional in-branch client meetings.
