Description

Proof of the Pudding (POP) provides award-winning catering and provisions to conferences, meetings, exhibitions, conventions, and special events at the Douglasville Conference Center. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting tables according to diagram and/or sample table.
• Set up and manage buffet stations, including decor.
• Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques.
• Keep work areas clean and coordinate actions with the banquet captain to ensure flawless customer service.
• Manage time effectively and assist in managing inventory of equipment and with set up and breakdown of events.
• Report to the Banquet Captain and perform any tasks assigned to execute a flawless event.
• Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a banquet or Front of House experience.
• Experience in high volume catering is preferred.

Work Environment

This position will consist of event attendance, preparation, set up, and breakdown. The majority of work will be done within the Douglasville Conference Center, with occasional travel to other venues within the region.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of being in one place and moving through an event space.
• Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting approximately 30 lbs.
