Foxhall Resort is seeking a highly skilled Event Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth in the wedding and social markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solicit and negotiate new event business through various sales approaches, including sales calls, telemarketing, and networking.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote Foxhall's event services and venues on relevant websites and respond to requests promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, providing personalized experiences tailored to their needs.
- Book venues and catering services for social events and weddings, detailing all aspects of the function and guest room block.
- Monitor customer preferences and trends in the wedding industry to develop an effective sales strategy.
- Acquire and maintain a solid base of accounts, achieving the company's sales goals and budget.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop the annual budget and sales objectives for the property's wedding service.
- Be the primary point of contact for social catering events, ensuring all inquiries are properly logged and followed up on.
- Monitor sales inboxes and assist with assignments and responses with the Sales & Events team.
- Accurately type and disseminate proposals, contracts, and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Assist with client deposits, rooming lists, and follow-up.
- Coordinate communication between the sales department and operational departments, ensuring smooth execution of groups and events.
- Manage customer services, assisting with site visits, board meetings, menu testing, and planning meetings for definite and potential groups.
- Work closely with the Front Office team to provide accurate rooming lists and ensure group block cut-off dates are communicated.
- Collaborate with the Banquet team to ensure meeting rooms are set to client expectations and assist with last-minute changes.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hospitality sales experience in the Atlanta market and southeast U.S. region.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as a team, taking initiative and adapting to unexpected changes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- High level of flexibility regarding overtime during busy periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- F&B service and event planning/management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management.
