About the Code Compliance Division:
The Code Compliance Division is responsible for enforcing land use and building codes in unincorporated areas. The division aims to ensure compliance with various regulations to protect public welfare.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, this role involves conducting complex investigations related to the enforcement of county regulations. Responsibilities include:
  • Investigating complaints and issuing warnings, notices, and citations.
  • Providing technical guidance to staff engaged in code enforcement.
  • Assisting in administrative tasks for the Deputy Director.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a solid background in investigation and enforcement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other agencies on code violations.
  • Conduct field surveys and inspections to identify violations.
  • Engage with property owners to facilitate compliance.
  • Document investigations and prepare reports for legal actions.
  • Participate in community outreach to educate the public on regulations.

Qualifications:
Applicants should have a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills for this role. A background in local government code enforcement is preferred.
