Saturday Night Shift Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join our team on our weekend night shift, working 36 hours with a 4-hour bonus, totaling 40 hours, and enjoying a 35% shift differential. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for performing detailed machine setups, programming, process improvement, troubleshooting, and producing high-quality machined parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate lathes with live milling capabilities
- Utilize precision measuring tools to inspect parts to close tolerance requirements
- Document SPC and inspection results accurately
- Modify tooling and fixtures as needed to maintain efficiency
- Collaborate with the programming team to implement technical advancements and increase production
- Produce production runs of parts using various machines
- Maintain quality standards by understanding and adhering to our Quality Management System
- Monitor operational and performance issues and provide feedback to supervisors
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff members
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in CNC machine operation
- CNC Swiss lathe setup experience is highly valued
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T specifications
- Experience with tool changes, offset adjustments, and quality checks on parts
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle complex tasks
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Compensation and Benefits:
- A competitive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience
