Key Responsibilities:- Safety First: Support the Western Flyer Express core value of safety first and always.
- Process Control: Support the Service Manager and Parts Manager in enforcing the Western Flyer Express established parts processes.
- Tire Management: Support the Service Manager and Parts Manager in controlling the level of tire spends in the shop.
- Vehicle Inspections: Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Repair and Replacement: Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Performance Verification: Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting systems.
- Record Keeping: Maintain vehicle records by annually performing services and repairs.
- Cost Containment: Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options.
- Professional Development: Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications.
- Experience: 1 or more years of experience in the Diesel Maintenance Field.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Skills: Ability to multi-task, solid analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Lifting: Must be able to lift or carry 50lbs.
- Attendance: Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
