Job Title: Communications and Outreach Coordinator

St. Edward's University is seeking a highly skilled Communications and Outreach Coordinator to join our team in The Bill Munday School of Business. This is a full-time, 12-month position that will play a critical role in building brand awareness, increasing engagement, and communicating our value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to promote The Bill Munday School of Business and its programs.
  • Manage and maintain the school's website, social media, and digital signage to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Design and distribute internal and external newsletters to keep stakeholders informed about school events, news, and achievements.
  • Coordinate events, including Welcome Day, Student Involvement Day, Meet the Firms, iChallenge, Fireside Chat, Homecoming, Family Weekend, Alumni Weekend, Explore/Choose SEU Days, Career Fairs, Career Edge workshops, Career Spotlight Days, and honor society inductions.
  • Support the dean in developing and promoting external partnerships in the Austin business community.
  • Assist with fundraising efforts, including alumni giving campaigns.
  • Facilitate Advisory Board meeting logistics.
  • Manage the MSB Student Portal, a Canvas hub for all business students to access events and information.
  • Design presentation materials for school meetings and other events as requested by the dean.
  • Coordinate design of annual reports and other print materials (flyers, brochures, etc.) as requested by the dean.
  • Provide digital photography and graphic design capabilities to support school communications and events as needed.
  • Support student organization faculty advisors and department chairs in executing discipline-specific events.
  • Collaborate with the MSB Graduate Programs Coordinator on events and communication.
  • Supervise Marketing and Events student interns to ensure a robust and mutually beneficial student learning experience.
  • Evaluate marketing, communication, and event efficacy based on objective metrics and develop plans for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Media Management, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in social media management and analytics.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Collegial, enthusiastic, and proactive working style.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends with advance notice.
  • Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience with Google Suite, Google Analytics, Zoom, Power Point, Canva, Canvas, email marketing software (e.g., Emma), Adobe, Drupal, Qualtrics, Box, 25Live, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, Hootsuite, and/or video creation.
