- Role Overview: As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for the assembly of various components into subassemblies or complete assemblies utilizing hand tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assembly tasks according to technical drawings, routing instructions, and operational guidelines.
- Conduct quality inspections in alignment with established inspection protocols.
- Manage inventory levels and restock assembly stations as necessary.
- Implement the Kanban system to ensure parts availability.
- Interpret orders and schematics to ascertain assembly methods, including component types, configurations, and required clearances.
Work Environment:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Collaborate with team members in a cooperative work setting, participating in cross-training initiatives across all assembly lines.
- Assist in training new team members as required.
Additional Duties:
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform tasks in a manner that upholds quality standards.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently and safely team lift heavier items.
- Capability to stand or walk for the duration of the shift.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with assembly machinery and tools.
