Job Summary

ANSYS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced UI/UX Developer to join our Programs and Solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing user-centered solutions that meet the needs of our customers in the aerospace and defense market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, architecture, and development of software solutions at a project level.
  • Coordinate project design and development activities, requiring extensive analysis in areas such as user experience, software design, solution deployment, and integration.
  • Act as a technical reference within a group or project, developing and employing best practices and maintaining them through technical reviews and mentoring.
  • Perform complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support across multiple projects.
  • May work with strategic customers or partners to assess needs and develop solutions.
  • Operate without direct supervision and may function as a team leader, project manager, or software architect.

Requirements
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8 years' experience, MS with 6 years' experience, or PhD with 4 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular).
  • Experience with web 3D technologies (e.g. WebGL, Cesium JS).
  • Familiarity with the W3C Web Components specifications and best practices for building interoperable and reusable components.
  • Proven track record of crafting robust and efficient code.
  • Experience with version control systems and Agile development methodologies.
  • DoD TS/SCI Clearances (or the ability and willingness to obtain them).

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency with C++, C#, Java, SQL, Python.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Experience leading projects and delivering high-quality products in a U.S Government or defense contractor environment.
  • Experience developing software integrations with mission engineering tools (Ansys STK, AFSIM, etc...) or Ansys software tools.
  • Familiarity with space systems operations.
  • Ability to translate business or mission needs into development plans.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies, and to mentor junior developers.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearances.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
