Description

Position Overview:

As an Adjunct Clinical Supervisor for Speech-Language Pathology, you will play a vital role in providing oversight and guidance to student clinicians in speech-language clinical service provision. This is a part-time, clinical teaching/mentoring/supervising position that requires a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as a minimum of two years of post-CFY experience in SLP therapy provision and a current ASHA certification of clinical competency (CCC) and an Oklahoma state license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide student clinicians in providing evidence-based treatment and effective clinical practice.
  • Sign completed treatment documentation, such as response recording, semester and daily plans, reports, and summaries.
  • Provide clinician feedback and evaluation.
  • Instruct, counsel, and guide student clinicians in evidence-based treatment.
  • Maintain office hours and meet with assigned students throughout the semester.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Minimum of two years of post-CFY experience in SLP therapy provision.
  • Current ASHA certification of clinical competency (CCC).
  • Oklahoma state license.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical mentoring or supervision experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Repetitive movement of hands and fingers - typing and/or writing.
  • Frequent standing, and/or sitting.
  • Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Visually identify, observe and assess.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor/students/colleagues.
