Job Description:
As a Clinical Support Specialist at the Alameda Health System, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care and unit functioning. Your responsibilities will include transcribing physician's orders, maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with the healthcare team, and monitoring Telemetry Monitors to detect abnormal heart rhythm patterns. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the healthcare team by completing tasks such as transcribing physician's orders, processing patient admission charts, and updating computer systems.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the unit by maintaining accurate records, communicating effectively with the healthcare team, and reporting maintenance problems immediately.
- Use manual systems/downtime processes when necessary to maintain continuity of patient care and unit functioning.
- Collaborate with the Admitting Department, Charge RN/Department Leader, and nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and technologies.
