Job Summary

Columbus Technical College is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Adjunct AEMT Instructor in the Paramedicine program. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach EMS courses and utilize various instructional modalities to engage students.
  • Develop and implement program and course outlines, goals, and objectives in accordance with state standards.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to ensure students meet program objectives.
  • Maintain a safe and secure learning environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in program accreditation requirements, ensuring the program meets established standards.
  • Develop and maintain teaching methods, management procedures, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators to discuss student programs and address issues impacting student progress.
  • Respond promptly to administrative requests and participate in recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in Georgia as an AEMT, Paramedic, CT, RN, RRT, NP, PA, or MD/DO.
  • Current licensure in Georgia as an Instructor/Coordinator (AEMT).
  • Current NREMT certification at the provider level.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Completion of all Teaching Internships for EMS Instructor/Coordinator requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postsecondary teaching experience.
  • ACLS certification.
