POSITION SUMMARY:
The Culinary Operations Assistant Manager supports the kitchen manager in overseeing the kitchen department to drive sales, meet profit objectives, manage labor efficiently, and exceed customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Implementing training programs, managing reports, and ensuring a well-organized, clean, and fully stocked department.
  • Creating departmental schedules, planning promotions, and forecasting sales.
  • Effectively supervising department staff shifts while upholding retail standards.
  • Managing supplier invoices and returns.
  • Enhancing sales potential through proper merchandising and stocking procedures.
  • Requesting and ensuring appropriate signage is displayed.
  • Training new team members using comprehensive training materials and checklists.
  • Accountable for achieving and surpassing sales and margin goals.
  • Controlling spoilage and shrinkage; achieving inventory control and turnover objectives.
  • Ordering merchandise for the department in accordance with established practices.
  • Aligning departmental strategies with overall company direction and category strategies.
  • Coordinating promotional activities related to seasonal events and demonstrations.
  • Identifying challenges and implementing corrective actions.
  • Developing, managing, and evaluating quarterly budgets.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.

  • LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work schedules are variable based on operational needs, including potential overnight shifts.
