About the Role

Funko is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure Facilities and Assets: Protect Funko's facilities, products, physical assets, and intellectual property from theft, sabotage, and other security threats.
  • Detect and Deter Security Risks: Identify and mitigate potential security risks, including irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  • Perform Security Patrols: Conduct regular security patrols of the entire Funko campus on foot or in a provided vehicle to ensure the safety and security of our employees and assets.
  • Monitor Surveillance Systems: Watch for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Enforce Company Policies: Uphold company and department rules and policies, as well as city and state laws, to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and write detailed reports to document findings.
  • Communicate with Emergency Responders: Effectively communicate with 911 and emergency responders to report security incidents and provide critical information.
  • Provide Security Escorts: Offer security escorts to employees, customers, and visitors as requested.
  • Assist with Employee and Visitor Requests: Provide assistance to employees, customers, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, following department procedures.
Requirements
  • Security Experience: 1 or more years of prior security or military field experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including proficiency in safety and security software.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, observation, and recall skills to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write incident reports and communicate effectively with emergency responders.
  • Professionalism: Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations, and respond to security incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Availability: Availability to work days, weekends, including holidays and special events, including the possibility of working back-to-back shifts.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods of time while maintaining radio communication with staff.
