Job Title: Chief Business Official

The Belmont-Redwood Shores School District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Business Official to join our senior management team. As a key member of our cabinet, you will be responsible for overseeing the district's financial and business operations, ensuring the effective management of resources and the delivery of high-quality services to our students and community.

About the Role

The Chief Business Official will provide strategic leadership and direction to the district's business operations, including finance, human resources, facilities, and transportation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial plans, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with the district's strategic goals
  • Manage and oversee the district's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Provide leadership and direction to the district's business operations, including facilities, transportation, and human resources
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including financial reporting and auditing
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a school district or educational setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions
