Job Title: Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager is a key member of the CRH's Americas Materials team, responsible for implementing cost-effective purchasing strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices for goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with operations managers and equipment managers to ensure timely provision of goods and services.
  • Initiate and support the RFQ process to identify and secure the best suppliers for the company's needs.
  • Implement divisional and national agreements in local CRH operating companies.
  • Keep operations informed of significant developments in the supply and material/service pricing.
  • Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility and competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Identify, negotiate, implement, and report saving opportunities and initiatives.
  • Supervise the day-to-day functional tasks of operating company buyers as applicable.
  • Ensure that the regional procurement team follows all CRH procedures and policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of transaction procurement process from a professional setting.
  • Strategic sourcing experience.
  • Data mining and analysis skills.

  • Well-rounded and experienced professional with sound business acumen.
  • Data and people-driven leader and decision maker.
  • Ability to lead and drive the execution of strategic plans across the division.
  • Dedicated and engaged partner who strongly engages with both the business and the global procurement organization to enhance collaboration and obtain regional procurement objectives.
Work Environment:

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • The position will require heavy travel – at times exceeding 50%, with minimal overnight travel.
