Position Overview

The Cardiac MRI Specialist will conduct a range of high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging examinations specifically tailored for cardiac applications, serving both clinical and research needs while ensuring exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the development and execution of interventional and diagnostic cardiac MRI research initiatives.
  • Support the formulation of safe policies and procedures for interventional cardiac research.
  • Perform non-cardiac MRI examinations as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience
At least 2 years of clinical MRI imaging experience in a healthcare setting, with a preference for pediatric or cardiac imaging experience. Familiarity with cardiac catheterization or hybrid MRI lab environments is advantageous.

Essential Skills
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care, alongside technical and procedural expertise. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required. Capable of independently executing a variety of clinical and research cardiac MRI procedures effectively. Strong judgment in correlating patient history with imaging protocols is essential.

Research Responsibilities
Assist in the advancement and maintenance of cardiac research projects, ensuring compliance with human subject research standards. Participate in relevant conferences and assist in data collection for cardiac research initiatives.

Quality Assurance
Verify patient information against exam requests, ensuring accuracy in imaging data. Adhere to established protocols for equipment operation and troubleshooting.

Patient Care
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and exam rooms. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding procedures and follow-up care.

Safety Protocols
Comply with all safety regulations, including conducting necessary checks for patient safety prior to procedures. Report any equipment malfunctions promptly.

Professional Development
Maintain relevant certifications and participate in ongoing training and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
