Position Overview
The Cardiac MRI Technologist will be responsible for conducting a range of high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging examinations focused on cardiac health for both clinical and research applications. This role emphasizes exceptional patient care while contributing to the advancement of cardiac MR research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Research Participation: Collaborate with faculty to enhance and sustain cardiac research projects. Ensure compliance with human subject research standards and protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Validate exam requests against patient information and ensure the accuracy of imaging data. Follow established procedures for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Patient Interaction: Maintain a clean and organized environment for patient examinations. Clearly communicate procedures to patients and their families, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff. Conduct necessary safety checks for all patients prior to procedures.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with advancements in MRI technology and patient care practices. Engage in ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of two years of clinical MRI imaging experience in a healthcare setting is required. Experience in pediatric or cardiac imaging is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in patient care, technical procedures, and the operation of MRI equipment is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and patients.
