We are currently looking for a **Corporate Accounting Intern**. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience in the accounting field.

**Key Responsibilities**

Intern duties may encompass the following:

  • Conduct general ledger reconciliations and analyze outstanding items.
  • Support the financial closing process by preparing and recording journal entries.
  • Assist in monthly variance analysis of financial statements.
  • Review accounts receivable and communicate findings effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborate with various departments to guarantee accurate and timely transaction recording.
  • Research technical accounting issues as needed.
  • Adhere to Battelle's accounting procedures and relevant regulations.

**Qualifications**

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, ideally at the junior level or higher.
  • Previous related experience is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A positive attitude and readiness to tackle technical challenges are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Availability for full-time work is necessary.
  • Applicants must meet the definition of a U.S. Person as per export control laws.
