Position Overview: The Sheet Metal Assembly Specialist plays a crucial role in the assembly of sheet metal and machined aluminum components according to precise engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in an aerospace environment.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Requirements:

  • Familiarity with safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) used in manufacturing.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Strong skills in blueprint interpretation.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, with the ability to calibrate new tools.
  • Ability to maintain focus and productivity with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Capable of mixing and weighing sealers accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspections of manufactured components and accompanying documentation.
  • Verify parts, rivets, and assembly methods against specifications.
  • Ensure material specifications are adhered to as outlined.
  • Assemble components in accordance with engineering drawings and specific notes.
  • Utilize appropriate equipment for assembly tasks.
  • Confirm the accuracy of work performed and uphold high workmanship standards.
  • Follow quality assurance procedures and protocols diligently.
  • Take ownership of new and varied requests to achieve organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance job performance and add value.
  • Meet production targets regarding cycle time, quantity, and quality.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Work Hours:

  • First Shift: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Second Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Weekend Shift: Thursday to Sunday, 4 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Compensation: $15 to $17 per hour.
