About the Job

Aureus Medical Group - Imaging is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized examinations in Ultrasound, adapting procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results, and preparing patients for examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards of Medical Imaging.
  • Exhibit competency in performing ultrasound procedures, including imaging required views demonstrating appropriate anatomy and of catheters, biopsy instruments, and sterile trays.
  • Obtain accurate histories and explain the rationale for the procedure to patients/families.
  • Maintain quality care throughout the procedure and assess the abdominal arterial and venous system using color imaging.
  • Perform reasonable troubleshooting and report equipment problems through appropriate channels.
  • Document area of concern and set up trays with sterile fields for radiologists.
  • Assist radiologists with biopsies, order labs and pathology tests under the direction of a radiologist, and perform support functions of the Medical Imaging department.
Requirements
  • CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional attitude towards fellow technologists/students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
