Electrical Cost Analyst for Leading Contractor

Position Summary: The Electrical Cost Analyst will report to the Pre-Construction Manager and will be tasked with overseeing and enhancing estimating functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute all estimating activities, including coordinating engineering efforts and estimating costs.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams to formulate design-build proposals.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, job planning sessions, and progress meetings to provide accurate project estimates.
  • Facilitate handoff meetings with the project management team to ensure the transfer of precise documentation.
  • Engage in the recruitment and training of skilled personnel to maintain a proficient workforce.
  • Review bid documents and generate Bills of Materials for communication with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct take-offs and input data into company-specific estimating software.
  • Evaluate and review bids, proposals, and Bills of Materials from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Possess a solid understanding of construction documents, including the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the construction process and proficiency in MS Office and estimating software.
  • Exhibit knowledge of electrical design and engineering, including the ability to layout and cost electrical systems.
  • Work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a strong background in electrical estimation and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate and efficient project planning.
