Job Summary:

Mid Kansas Cooperative is seeking a skilled Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering petroleum and oil products to rural and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver petroleum and oil products: Safely transport and deliver petroleum and oil products to customers in accordance with delivery tickets and company policies.
  2. Operate and maintain equipment: Ensure that fuel trucks are properly maintained and operated in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and company policies.
  3. Fill fuel trucks: Fill fuel trucks in accordance with quality and safety standards to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of products.
  4. Manage inventory: Report inventory needs to the Operations Manager in a timely manner to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  5. Complete paperwork: Fill out required DOT paperwork daily and maintain required paperwork in the fuel truck.
  6. Provide customer service: Greet customers promptly and courteously, and work with them to resolve any issues or concerns.
  7. Ensure customer safety: Educate customers on safe product handling and usage.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge: Attend product, merchandising, and training meetings as requested to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
  9. Maintain facilities and equipment: Ensure that facilities and equipment meet federal, state, and OSHA regulations, and report any unsafe working conditions to the Operations Manager.
  10. Represent the company: Maintain a clean and professional appearance for yourself and your equipment, and represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school degree or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience driving a tanker with hazardous materials endorsement
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a variety of environments, including climate-controlled offices and outdoor settings in hot and cold weather.
