Job Summary

Mid Kansas Cooperative is seeking a skilled Fuel Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering petroleum and oil products to rural and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver petroleum and oil products to customers in accordance with delivery tickets and quality standards.
  2. Operate and maintain fuel truck equipment properly, reporting any maintenance needs to the Petroleum Department Manager.
  3. Fill fuel truck properly in accordance with quality and safety standards.
  4. Manage inventory and report needs to the Operations Manager.
  5. Complete DOT paperwork daily and maintain required paperwork in the fuel truck.
  6. Identify new business opportunities and report to the Petroleum Department Manager.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers promptly and courteously, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  8. Maintain equipment and facilities to meet federal, state, and OSHA regulations.
  9. Participate in product, merchandising, and training meetings as requested.
Requirements
  1. Commercial Driver's License (A) with Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements.
  2. Current operational knowledge of fuel trucks and applicable regulations.
  3. Good working knowledge of MSDS information on petroleum products.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Computer and data entry skills.
  6. Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  7. Ability to deal with emotional customers and help resolve complaints.
Working Conditions

The job involves work inside a climate-controlled office atmosphere and outside in hot and cold weather.
