**Job Summary**

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing test plans, performing and analyzing testing and analysis, and providing hands-on support to technical teams.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Establish and enact test plans for product components and subcomponents and power transmission subassemblies.
  • Perform and analyze basic and advanced testing and analysis as needed to support design and development and test objectives.
  • Provide hands-on support to the technical teams through preparation and execution of test programs and test set-up and test execution.
  • Write and develop LabVIEW programs to automate and monitor tests.
  • Assist in the general maintenance, upkeep, and improvement in the lab and its capabilities by ensuring that the systems and equipment are functioning properly.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
  • Five to seven years of experience designing or developing electro-mechanical systems.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in testing and test evaluation in a manufacturing or test facility environment.
  • Experience with LabView for both data acquisition and control applications.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience working with reciprocating diesel engines and gas turbine engines and engine control.
  • Ability to understand complex engineering principles/situations/problems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with AC and DC motors, drives, and complex test arrangements.
  • Experience working with precision data transducers for both mechanical and electrical signal data acquisition.
