Position: Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Float
Schedule: Full Time | Variable Schedule (May Include Weekend Hours)
Compensation: Competitive annual salary range of $62,500 - $73,000 (based on license)
Key Responsibilities: As a Float Counselor at Sandstone Care, you will be instrumental in delivering holistic therapy services:
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required in our therapeutic environment, ensuring tailored support for each client.
  • Step in during staff absences, assist with increased client load, and offer general support to maintain program efficiency.
  • Assist clients across various levels of care, addressing a range of mental health, substance use, and mood disorder challenges, guiding them towards recovery.

Daily Activities:
  • Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, fostering trust and empowerment in clients' recovery journeys.
  • Lead group therapy sessions, nurturing a supportive atmosphere for clients to express their experiences and grow collectively.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, medical professionals, and program managers, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, meeting the evolving needs of clients and programs.
  • Perform BPS Assessments & Intakes as necessary.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
  • Required clinical license: LPCC/LPC or LSW/LCSW or MFTC/LMFT.
  • All staff must be CPR-certified prior to their first day of employment.
  • Previous experience in substance abuse treatment, preferably in Residential and/or Outpatient settings.
  • Experience in mental health/mood disorder treatment is essential.
  • Preferred clinical skills: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Strong Documentation Skills.
