This is an open continuous announcement for a Nurse (Outpatient) position with the Indian Health Service. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic and diverse healthcare environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the mission of the Indian Health Service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to outpatient patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based guidelines in nursing care.
- A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service, performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
- Possession of an associate's degree or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with no experience.
- Possession of a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing and one full year of professional nursing experience.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-5 grade level).
- Possession of a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing and two full years of professional nursing experience.
- Completion of at least one full year of graduate education in a professional nursing educational program.
- Master's degree in professional nursing.
- At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or above) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, or Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from a professional nursing program.
