Job Summary

Vigor Alaska is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on our ships and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical equipment
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and systems
  • Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve electrical issues
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in electrical technology or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standards
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
