Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta/Lithia Springs, GA. As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel, providing exceptional guest service, and leading a team of dedicated employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Service and Operations
    • Conduct regular employee meetings to ensure that team members are informed of policies, procedures, and brand standards.
    • Monitor and lead the guest service team members, resolving conflicts and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
    • Assist with inventory management to maximize room revenue and ensure budgeted revenues are met.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Organize and prepare accounts payable/receivable, deposits, and input direct bills into the system.
    • Generate a positive and safe environment for all employees and guests.
    • Monitor and train team members on brand standards, ensuring they meet or exceed guest expectations.
    • Conduct regular walk-throughs at the hotel, documenting issues to address with the General Manager.
  • Human Resources and Administration
    • Involved with staffing needs, including interviewing, screening, hiring, employee relations, and timecard maintenance.
    • Ensure satisfactory scores with the brand by preparing for audits, evaluating results, and collaborating with management and team to implement necessary improvements.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
    • Interdepartmental teamwork to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in hotel operations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of previous hospitality experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline preferred.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building, effective communication, and ability to multi-task.
  • Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Ability to learn and utilize various computer and software applications.
