About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at the U.S. Marine Corps. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide world-class customer service to all Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) customers.
  • Assist customers in challenging scenarios by using an 'I can do that' mindset to ensure a positive customer experience and outcome.
  • Act as a brand and customer program ambassador for all Marine Corps and MCX programs, including Military Star, Super Star Student, customer satisfaction surveys, and Keep it New.
  • Perform various tasks such as cashiering, customer service, salesfloor support, stockroom duties, and light housekeeping tasks.
  • Utilize and complete tasks with basic retail equipment, including cash registers, time clocks, RF scanners, mobile printers, handheld equipment, and signage equipment.
  • Assist in preparing and participating in year-end inventory and preparation, identifying and communicating potential risk of loss and/or theft.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a customer and sales-focused environment.
  • Cash handling, basic math, and register experience are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand operating standards and procedures for service, service recovery, sales, and store brand, and work within the position to execute these standards properly.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance atmosphere with a commitment to service and sales goals.
  • Attention to detail is required.
