About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our Enterprise People Technology team, you will play a vital role in developing innovative ML systems on an enterprise scale, implementing cutting-edge Generative AI technologies, and collaborating with a diverse team of experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop end-to-end system architecture for data-intensive applications
  • Develop and deploy production-grade real-time/batch machine learning services
  • Collaborate with applied researchers and data scientists to iteratively improve our ML models and refine MLOps practice
  • Support production operations by participating in on-call rotations
Requirements
  • Exceptional Python programming skills
  • Hands-on experience designing and building end-to-end Machine Learning applications
  • Familiarity with version control using Git in collaboration settings
  • Good understanding of common families of models, feature engineering, feature selection, and other practical machine learning issues
  • Comfortable working with Linux and containers
  • 6+ years of industry experience along with a proven track record of ownership and delivery
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area
  • Experience developing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines in online advertising, recommender system, e-commerce, or relevant areas
