About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems that meet the needs of our customers and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to ensure that software solutions meet business needs and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and code comments.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that code meets technical standards and best practices.
  • Identify and prioritize technical issues and implement solutions to resolve them.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve software development and delivery.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on designing and developing complex software systems.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design, architecture, and testing.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization, such as Docker.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins and Docker.
  • Experience with cloud-based security and compliance.
