About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support in the development of best practices, architectural designs, and technology solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in observability, continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), systems architecture, and software engineering.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor teams in the implementation of complex systems, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the continuous improvement of our technology stack and processes.
  • Staying Ahead: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software engineering, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
Requirements
  • Deep Technical Expertise: A distinguished engineer should have extensive knowledge in their field, including advanced concepts in software engineering, system architecture, and technology trends.
  • Leadership and Influence: The ability to lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and influence decision-making processes at all levels of the organization is vital.
  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset to align technical initiatives with business goals is essential.
