Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to attorneys in all facets of corporate transactions, including the preparation of legal documents, conducting thorough research, and managing case files.
- Serve as a point of contact between the legal team and clients, ensuring effective communication and efficient management of legal issues.
- Coordinate and oversee due diligence processes for transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Aid in the preparation and submission of legal documents pertaining to intellectual property rights and entertainment law.
- Keep updated on current laws, rulings, and regulations relevant to corporate sectors.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive records and files.
- Utilize Clio software for case management, time tracking, and billing purposes.
- Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pleadings and discovery documents, and organizing exhibits.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on corporate litigation.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; a certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred.
- Experience in entertainment law, corporate litigation, intellectual property, transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and the cannabis industry is advantageous.
- Proficient in Clio or similar legal case management software.
- Strong grasp of legal terminology, state and federal court procedures, and corporate governance.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks, thriving under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
