POSITION SUMMARY
The selected candidate will engage in a diverse array of tasks, gaining extensive exposure across various sectors of the Evapco organization. Key responsibilities include supporting the Business Development team in crafting proposals, engaging with clients, generating estimates, soliciting preliminary equipment and material bids from vendors, and effectively presenting technological solutions and proposals to clients through both verbal and written communication. The candidate will collaborate with sales representatives, end users, engineering teams, and proposal teams, as well as equipment manufacturers and partner contractors.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare thermal designs for air-cooled condensers and heat exchangers utilizing Evapco's proprietary performance modeling software, alongside manual calculations and vendor software for design generation.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical systems, including fans, motors, gearboxes, and vacuum systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various disciplines.
- Capability to comprehend and interpret operational manuals, technical drawings, equipment datasheets, and contracts.
- Self-motivated team player with the discipline to work independently while traveling, possessing a practical approach and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or other modeling software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude for multitasking, managing multiple inquiries simultaneously, and making informed commercial decisions.
- Demonstrated professionalism, ethical behavior, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy in work.
- General understanding of processes and cooling cycles.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and adopt a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Engage directly and effectively with engineering, procurement, and sales teams.
- Review vendor documentation (such as drawings, manuals, and project schedules) to ensure accurate estimation of Evapco's scope of work.
- Examine client specifications with meticulous attention to detail, understanding how these specifications influence product offerings.
- Safety training and drug testing may be part of the hiring process.
