Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team at Setpoint Systems Corporation. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing building automation systems and HVAC controls systems.

Your primary focus will be on designing complex projects, including HVAC temperature control systems, lighting and access controls systems, and BAS system design for HVAC, Lighting and Access control systems using the Delta Controls.

You will work closely with customers to collect key information needed to ensure the finished design meets their needs, and collaborate with account managers on construction estimates and proposal writing.

In addition, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for control systems, managing labor budget, and completing re-estimation, RFI, and change orders.

We are looking for a team player with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, who is willing to contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement building automation systems and HVAC controls systems
  • Design complex projects, including HVAC temperature control systems, lighting and access controls systems, and BAS system design for HVAC, Lighting and Access control systems using the Delta Controls
  • Work closely with customers to collect key information needed to ensure the finished design meets their needs
  • Collaborate with account managers on construction estimates and proposal writing
  • Prepare cost estimates for control systems
  • Manage labor budget
  • Complete re-estimation, RFI, and change orders

Requirements:

  • BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience in building control systems and/or equivalent HVAC knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC and product and systems equipment and specs
  • Working knowledge of DDC, electric and pneumatic control systems
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting

Salary Range: $80,000 to $120,000 / Based on Experience
