Anesthesia Technician Specialist

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in the operating room. Your expertise will ensure the smooth preparation and setup of equipment and supplies for each surgical case.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and set up equipment and supplies for each surgical case, including connecting monitoring lines and preparing infusion sets.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on various technical equipment used in the operating room.
- Assist in positioning and supporting patients for regional anesthesia procedures, such as spinals and epidurals.
- Oversee equipment and supply utilization, tracking and trending supply utilization to eliminate unnecessary or infrequently used supplies.
- Organize and manage the anesthesia workroom, using judgment and initiative to select appropriate instruments and methods.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in the OR and familiarity with OR supplies and the hospital setting.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and asepsis, with the ability to apply such skills.
- Basic Life Support Card from the American Heart Association required.
- Certification as an Anesthesia Technician or Technologist.
