Anesthesia Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our anesthesia team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and set up equipment and supplies for each surgical case, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
- Connect monitoring lines, prepare infusion sets, and apply them to patients as needed.
- Operate and calibrate various technical equipment used in the operating room, including physiological monitors and blood gas analyzers.
- Assist in positioning and supporting patients for regional anesthesia procedures, such as spinals and epidurals.
- Maintain a clean and organized anesthesia workroom, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored and easily accessible.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certification as an Anesthesia Technician or Technologist preferred.
- Experience in the operating room and familiarity with OR supplies and hospital settings.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and asepsis, with the ability to apply these skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required.
