Patient Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Technician to join our CDH Resource Team on a part-time night shift basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide continuous safety observation and monitoring of patients at risk of causing injury to themselves or others.
- Remain at the bedside of assigned patients at all times, unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
- Identify and remove hazards from the patient and patient environment, and report as necessary.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, as delegated by supervising RN, including ambulation, toileting, and bed making.
- Provide calming and reorienting conversation with patients in cases of agitation or confusion.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull force up to 50 pounds.
