Join the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) as a Licensed Psychologist and contribute to the well-being of vulnerable youth. We are seeking a skilled professional to work as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team in our Juvenile Justice residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order and maintain updated testing and assessment materials.
  • Supervise testing and assessment completed by Masters level psychologists and unlicensed psychologists.
  • Conduct admission screening, including mental status exam and suicide assessment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for youth.
  • Collaborate with assigned psychiatrist and other treatment team members.
  • Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy.
  • Participate in treatment reviews and cognitive and other psychological testing as needed.
  • Serve as a member of the facility Committee on Special Education.
  • Contribute to discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition for youth.
Requirements:
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State.
  • Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.
  • Experience working with adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities is preferred.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of $117,875, with a starting salary rate increase for staff hired into the Licensed Psychologist titles.
  • Geographic pay of $20,000.
  • Ongoing clinical trainings with accompanying NYS Department of Education approved Continuing Education Units (CEU's).
