The Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is seeking a licensed psychologist to join our multidisciplinary treatment team in the Juvenile Justice residential setting. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Order and maintain updated testing and assessment materials
- Supervise testing and assessment completed by Masters level psychologists and unlicensed psychologists
- Conduct admission screening, including mental status exam and suicide assessment
- Develop and implement 30-day assessments, including administration of mental health and substance use screens, youth and collateral interviews, and record review
- Collaborate with assigned psychiatrists on treatment planning
- Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy
- Treatment reviews and cognitive and other psychological testing as indicated
- Participate in the facility Committee on Special Education
- Discharge planning
- Licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State
- Maintain a valid New York State license and registration
- Experience working with adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities
- Skills in behavioral and mental health services
- A competitive salary of $117,875, with a starting salary rate increase
- Geographic pay of $20,000
