In the role of Senior Economics Consultant, you will assist federal government clients in addressing significant and impactful projects that confront critical societal challenges. Your proficiency in regulatory economics, research methodologies, and objective analysis will guide policy formulation and enhance program efficiency. You will collaborate with other leaders across ICF Olson to expand our regulatory policy offerings to both existing and prospective clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape and the economic assessments required to inform federal policy decisions. Your skills in policy evaluation, economic analysis, and research will contribute to influential policy-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily project operations. Utilize your subject matter expertise to evaluate the implications and costs associated with policies and regulations across various sectors, including health, labor, environment, and transportation.
- Drive business development. Contribute significantly to sales initiatives and proposal efforts for key client accounts. Participate in capture and proposal processes, developing compelling technical solutions for client needs.
- Mentor and develop the team. Guide junior staff, manage workloads, ensure high-quality deliverables, and promote employee engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in public policy, economics, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including:
- Proven expertise in economic and regulatory analysis within one or more domestic US policy domains, such as environmental management and health.
- Experience in projects related to environmental and natural resource management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership in project and personnel management.
- Strong technical and financial project management skills.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication abilities, essential for client-facing roles.
- Proven success in delivering policy solutions in a consulting environment or federal agency.
- Familiarity with the federal rulemaking process.
- Experience with R or other programming languages for data analysis.
- A positive, collaborative approach, with the ability to inspire, train, and innovate within a complex, multicultural environment.

Compensation Range - The salary range for this position is: $87,000 - $148,932.00
