Job Overview:
I. OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

This role is integral to the Clinical Engineering Department, focusing on the maintenance and safety of medical equipment. The technician will operate under guidance to execute a comprehensive range of skilled tasks, including preventive maintenance, repairs, safety evaluations, documentation, and departmental enhancements.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the development and execution of policies and procedures that guarantee effective technical assistance to clinical units, ensuring timely repairs and inspections.
  • Verify that all medical devices function safely and accurately.
  • Accountable for the prompt completion of repairs and inspections of assigned clinical apparatus.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource, offering technical support to colleagues seeking guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Philips Bio-Medical Site Manager to uphold the precision and efficiency of departmental operations.
  • Maintain a minimum of 80% documented productivity.
Job Requirements:
III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Educational Background:

An Associate's degree in Specialized Technology with a concentration in Bio-Medical or Clinical Engineering, or an Associate's degree in electronics coupled with three years of relevant experience, or CBET certification with at least two years of experience in the Bio-Medical sector.

B. Professional Experience:

This is a staff-level position; previous experience in a hospital setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

C. Additional Skills:

Competence in operating basic office equipment and personal computers is essential.

Familiarity with the following software applications is preferred:

a) Microsoft Office

b) DOS

c) Windows 10, Windows 7, & Windows 2000 Professional
