Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Gas Engineering team at NV Energy. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering services to support the company's natural gas delivery system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and manage gas distribution system improvements and modifications.
  • Provide engineering and project management services for all phases of a project, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, design, and construction.
  • Conduct economic analyses and feasibility studies for various gas system proposals.
  • Research and develop design, material, and construction standards and processes for all types of gas distribution facilities.
  • Collaborate with industry peers to maintain and develop best practices applicable to construction and material standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership, training, and oversight to fellow staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited school and 5 years of industry experience as a practicing engineer, or 8+ years as a practicing engineer without a PE license.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical engineering aspects of the company's gas delivery system.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a general office environment with some field work for supervision of projects, programs, or emergency response.

  • Competitive salary range: $100,700 (Min) to $118,400 (Mid); Up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity.
