Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Planner to join our team at Wacker Chemical Corporation in Chino. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintenance of industrial equipment, including conveying systems, pumps, mixers, kneaders, extruders, piping, electrical distribution and controls, and other general site equipment.
  • Utilize SAP to document work completed or in-process, maintain PM schedules, and plan for maintenance work shutdowns as necessary with production.
  • Maintain stock for critical spare parts and order parts as needed, interface with outside agencies and vendors for site inspections and certifications, and provide support for various audits.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning equipment, with a focus on electrical work.
  • Work with procurement for new vendor setup as necessary, participate in training as a trainer and trainee in techniques, equipment, and safety, and participate in other activities as required, such as facility repairs, construction, and shop clean-up.
Requirements
  • Journeyman certification as an electrician, preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English speaker, preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, and prioritize to meet operations needs.
  • Will accept completion of an approved apprentice program or minimum 4 years of industrial mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret technical specifications and design documents and drawings.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with all other mechanics, acting as both a leader and a follower as needed.
  • Sound written and verbal skills to share and receive information with a variety of team members and external agents.
  • Ability to work with power and hand tools, drive a fork truck or other industrial vehicle.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in elevated areas and in confined spaces.
  • Applicants must possess unrestricted US work authorization.
  • Required 4 years of experience.
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent, Skilled trades certification.
